THE summer to remember...
Here we go again... Spring is in the air and with it we are ever drawing closer to another summer of bent rods, scream'n reels and tall tales. Those of you still trapped with in winter's cabin fever, take heart, the season is near and if you have not yet, it is time to plan your summer saltwater fishing adventure. Dates are selling out fast, its time to ensure your spot "on the water".
Thus far fishing has been up to par with feeder Chinooks being picked up on a regular basis. Mixed in with the feeder we have seen some decent fish in the mid twenty's with the largest pulling the scales down to 45 pounds. Water temperatures have been at normal levels and large needle fish are currently the bait to imitate. Winds have been a little stiffer and heavier from the NW this spring. This usually forces the ever important schools of bait closer to shore and hopefully with it, schools salmon...
